Mechanism of action of Laser Treatment of dilated capillaries

The thermal energy emitted by the laser is absorbed by the red pigment of blood (hemoglobin) and as a result the blood coagulates and the vessel wall is ablated and absorbed naturally by the body over time.

Number of Treatments

Multiple (3 to 4) sessions of laser treatment are recommended four to eight weeks apart depending on the quantity of vessels, their diameter and genetic predisposition of the individual patient. Thereafter, a yearly maintenance treatment is recommended.  Post-treatment sunblock (i.e., MDSolarSciences) should be applied for a minimum of two weeks.
